From calm to action, in four levels. Each is based on what is usual for that person, and is a gentle suggestion to check in, not a medical scale.
The home is quiet and routine.
Nobody. You see a calm status.

For the last 25 years, I have spent my life around care, families, and the quiet worries that come with age. I have seen how much parents value their independence, and how much their children worry when they are not close enough to check on them.
I understood this professionally for many years. But I truly felt it when it happened in my own family.
My parents were living on their own, like many parents do. We stayed in touch, we called, and we visited whenever possible. But one day, when I could not reach them, I felt a kind of helplessness that stayed with me.
I kept calling, not knowing if they were busy, resting, unwell, or in trouble. That uncertainty is something many children of aging parents understand very well. It is a small silence that can suddenly feel very heavy.
That moment made me think deeply. Why is it still so hard to know if our parents are okay without disturbing their privacy?
I did not want cameras in their home. I would never want my parents to feel watched. I also did not feel that buttons or wearables were enough, because in a real emergency, a person may not be able to press a button or remember to wear a device.
I wanted something simpler and more respectful. Something that could quietly support parents without taking away their dignity. Something that could give families reassurance without making anyone feel monitored.
When I spoke to other families, I realised this feeling was not mine alone. So many people are living with the same concern. Their parents want independence, but their children still want to know they are safe.
That is why this journey began.
It came from my experience as a doctor, but also from my heart as a daughter. I wanted to build something for families like mine: something that respects parents, understands distance, and gives loved ones peace of mind without taking away privacy.
