Kartavya is in its pilot stage. This page explains, in plain words, how we handle information on this website and in the pilot. The full policy will be shared with each family, and agreed with them, when they join the pilot.

On this website

This website does not ask you to create an account and does not send any form data. The login page is a prototype and stores nothing. When you email us, we receive only what you choose to write.

In the Kartavya service

Kartavya is built to collect as little as it can: presence and movement from radar, events from the devices in the kit, such as a door opening or a button being pressed, and what you choose to tell Kartavya AI. There are no cameras.

Each person sees only what suits their role. Responders see an alert and a location, nothing more. You choose who is in your circle, and you can change it at any time.

We are building Kartavya around a few simple rules.

• Collect only what is needed to keep someone safe.
• Keep data in the home where we can.
• Share only with the people you choose.
• Delete data when you ask us to.

Kartavya is meant to be set up with the knowledge and agreement of the person being cared for. The final policy will explain how the service meets India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including how you can see, correct or erase your data.

This website shows a prototype. The numbers, screens and names on it are examples.

Kartavya does not give medical advice and does not replace a doctor. In an emergency, call 112.

Pilot terms, including pricing, are shared when you join the pilot. The content on this website may change without notice.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

This website keeps three settings in your browser’s local storage, so they stay the same on your next visit: the theme, the text size and the language. You can clear them at any time from your browser’s settings.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and the site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs.

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including older readers. We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

• Larger or smaller text, with A+ and A−.
• A dark theme.
• English and Hindi.
• Keyboard use, with a visible focus and a link to skip to the main content.
• Pause buttons for anything that moves, and less motion when your device asks for it.

Known gaps: some diagrams are described only in summary, and the login page and the classic site are in English only.

The text, design, film and images on this website belong to Kartavya unless stated otherwise. Please ask us before you reuse them.

Kartavya helps families notice when something may be wrong. It cannot promise to prevent every fall or emergency.
